Ukrainian women take on critical roles amidst ongoing war
The ongoing war in Ukraine has fundamentally altered the roles and responsibilities of women across the country, with many taking on critical leadership, military, and economic duties.
In Kherson, the Mykola-Kulisch Theater continues to operate from a protected basement despite constant shelling. The occupation saw the arrest of theater leader Oleksandr Knyha and the killing of chief conductor Juri Kerpatenko.
