UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed and Festival of the Unexceptional draw car enthusiasts

The Goodwood Festival of Speed, held annually in West Sussex, continues to be hailed as the world’s premier automotive gathering. The 2026 edition featured a mix of modern supercars, historic racing legends and celebrity drivers such as Jenson Button, with visitors able to see rare models including Lamborghini Miura and Koenigsegg prototypes.

In Lincolnshire, the Festival of the Unexceptional (FOTU) celebrates ordinary cars produced between 1971 and 2001. Since its inception in 2014 the event has grown to showcase about 2,500 vehicles and attract roughly 4,500 visitors in 2024. A 2001 Volkswagen Polo won the top prize, with a 1992 Toyota Previa placed second, highlighting the rarity of well‑preserved everyday automobiles.
