Łuków weightlifting club crowned Poland’s top youth team

On 26 July 2026, the XXXII National Youth Olympiad “Lubelskie 2026” in weightlifting concluded in the town of Łuków, Poland. The event, organized by Olympic weightlifter Robert Dołęga, gathered the nation’s best junior lifters. Club Olimpijczyk Łuków secured the boys’ club classification, earning the title of the best club in Poland and finishing third overall, while the Lublin region topped the regional standings.

Individual performances included Paweł Młynarczyk winning silver and the junior men’s under‑60 kg title, Krystian Śledź taking silver in the under‑70 kg class, and other strong placements such as Marcel Wardziak‑Mąka (fourth, under‑96 kg) and Rafał Łobejko (fourth, over‑95 kg). The competition was supported by the local women’s community club “Wesołe Babki Plus” which provided catering.

The successful hosting highlighted Łuków’s role in promoting weightlifting and underscored the dedication of athletes, coaches, families, and organizers in the Lublin region.
