The Ulúa bus system, managed by the government of Veracruz, operates a specific route connecting the northern zone of Veracruz with Antón Lizardo in the municipality of Alvarado. Unlike standard routes in the Veracruz-Boca del Río metropolitan area that charge a flat fare of 15 pesos in cash or 13 pesos via rechargeable card, this specific line utilizes a tiered fare system based on distance traveled.

For the North-South direction (from Lomas 4 toward Antón Lizardo), fares range from 15 pesos (cash) / 13 pesos (card) to Plaza Américas, up to a maximum of 32 pesos (cash) / 30 pesos (card) for the full trip to Antón Lizardo. The South-North direction follows a similar pricing structure based on specific stops including El Dorado, Boca del Río, and Plaza Américas.
