Ulcinj council to repeal new waste‑collection price list after resident outcry

The civic movement URA in Ulcinj will submit a proposal to the municipal assembly on Monday seeking to nullify the recently adopted waste‑collection price list. URA says billing will continue under the previous list until a "fairer and more reasonable methodology for price calculation" is established.

URA leaders argue that residents have been hit with "enormously high" bills from the municipal waste company Komunalne djelatnosti – Ulcinj. They claim the new tariff imposes an "unacceptable burden and plundering of Ulcinj citizens" and that the authorities ignored earlier warnings. The party stresses that Ulcinj is not a "party cash‑box" and that residents should not pay for political mismanagement, pledging to defend citizens' interests.
