Bayern Munich's Uli Hoeneß criticizes youngster Lennart Karl

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß has publicly criticized 18-year-old talent Lennart Karl, stating that the player needs more humility. Hoeneß announced plans to have a serious conversation with Karl following a dip in form and controversial public image concerns.

Karl, who had a breakout previous season, has struggled to regain his peak performance after missing the World Cup due to a muscle injury. Reports suggest club leadership is also concerned about Karl's social media presence and the amount of his private life he shares online.

In response to the criticism, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has defended the youngster, describing his current situation as a normal part of a young professional's development. Head coach Vincent Kompany has also expressed patience, noting that Karl's performance levels will eventually return.
