Uli Hoeneß faces court over property tree dispute

FC Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß is scheduled to appear before the Munich II Regional Court regarding a property dispute in Bad Wiessee. The legal conflict involves a neighbor demanding the removal of two young poplar trees planted on Hoeneß's approximately 7,000-square-meter property.

Hoeneß stated that the two three-meter-tall poplars were planted by a landscaper in consultation with the local nature conservation authority to replace three older trees that had been damaged by snow breakage. Hoeneß characterized the lawsuit as an act of harassment, describing the situation as a ‘Schildbürgerstreich’ (a foolish or absurd act).
