Ulises Mejía Haro maintains political aspirations in Zacatecas
Ulises Mejía Haro, a federal legislator on leave, has clarified that he will not register for a federal district coordination or a municipal position. He stated that his original political aspirations remain firm, focusing on the goal of “regresarle la grandeza a Zacatecas” (returning greatness to Zacatecas).
Mejía Haro is currently conducting a state-wide tour to strengthen the territorial organization of his political group, Un Movimiento Honesto. He has held meetings with representatives from 31 municipalities across several regions, including Jerez, Tlaltenango, Sombrerete, Jalpa, Loreto, Zacatecas, Río Grande, Fresnillo, and Ojocaliente.
The tour is expected to continue through other regions and will include outreach to the Zacatecan migrant community abroad. Mejía Haro emphasized that decisions regarding the movement's direction will be collective rather than unilateral, involving the members who helped build the organization.
