Ulisses Silva makes professional MMA debut at Jungle Fight

Ulisses Silva de Melo, a 35-year-old athlete from Goiás, made his professional mixed martial arts debut at Jungle Fight 156 in São Paulo. Silva secured a victory against Felipe Alves via a flying armlock in just 41 seconds of the first round.

Silva’s career is defined by a significant personal recovery. After struggling with chemical dependency and living on the streets for approximately ten years—including three years in the Cracolândia region of São Paulo—he sought treatment in late 2022 at a recovery center in Goiás. Following his rehabilitation, he transitioned into training in Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu.

Currently residing in Pires do Rio, Silva balances his athletic training with a job as a production assistant in the food industry. He credits both his faith and sports for his ability to rebuild his life.
