Uljanik shipyard and Kyiv's Gulliver complex face major sales

The sale of the Uljanik 1856 shipyard in Pula is facing competition between two primary bidders: the Luxembourg-based investment fund Mira Finance Capital Holding and the Turkish shipbuilder Kuzey Star. Reports indicate a significant price gap, with Mira Finance offering approximately 14.5 million euros, while Kuzey Star's bid is estimated at 12.5 million euros. Both offers exceed the minimum requirement of 11.08 million euros and include guarantees to maintain operations. However, the Luxembourg fund may face scrutiny from European Union regulatory mechanisms regarding strategic infrastructure.

In Ukraine, the Gulliver shopping and business complex in Kyiv has been put up for sale with an initial asking price of 207 million dollars. The complex was seized by state banks Oschadbank and Ukreximbank a year ago following a legal battle with the sanctioned oligarch Viktor Polishchuk and his company, Three O. If sold, this would represent the largest privatization in Ukraine during the ongoing war. Some market analysts express skepticism regarding the high asking price, citing risks posed by intensified Russian attacks on commercial targets.
