Uljanik shipyard sees interest from nine potential buyers

Nine potential buyers have reportedly purchased tender documentation for the Uljanik shipyard in Pula. The deadline for submitting binding offers for the state's 97 percent stake expires this Tuesday at noon.

According to unofficial information from the Center for Sale and Restructuring (CERP), the current level of interest appears higher than in a similar process conducted three years ago. Among the interested parties are companies from the shipbuilding and maritime sectors. Dušan Šešok, owner of Iskra and the Šibenik shipyard, has confirmed his participation in the process.

Uljanik Director Samir Hadžić stated that it would be beneficial for the state to retain at least one shipyard under state ownership, though the final outcome depends on the specific terms and offers submitted by the bidders.
