Ulju County announces 2026 university scholarship program
Ulju County has announced the application period for its 2026 university student scholarship program, running from the 13th to the 21st. Funded by nuclear power support funds, the initiative aims to reduce the financial burden of tuition and living expenses for local students while fostering regional talent.
To qualify, applicants or their parents must have resided in Ulju County for at least one continuous year as of July 20, 2026. The program will select a total of 2,290 students, including 2,160 general scholarship recipients receiving 700,000 won each and 130 welfare scholarship recipients receiving 1.5 million won each. Academic requirements apply, with general students needing a GPA of 2.5 or higher and welfare recipients needing a 2.0 or higher.
To expand the scope of beneficiaries, the program operates on a biennial application system; therefore, those who received scholarships in 2025 are ineligible this year, though welfare scholarship applicants may apply annually.
