Ulrich Siegmund Spiegel cover sells for over 1,000 euros

A controversial cover of the German magazine ‘Der Spiegel’ featuring AfD politician Ulrich Siegmund has become a high-value collector's item. The cover, which labels the Saxony-Anhalt AfD candidate as ‘Germany’s most dangerous man’, has triggered significant debate.

Siegmund has embraced the criticism, using the magazine as a campaign tool by signing copies and distributing them at events. He described the cover as ‘very good advertising’, stating that those who fight for their country and democracy are the ones truly considered dangerous.

On the resale platform eBay, unsigned copies are listed for between 15 and 35 euros, while signed versions have fetched much higher prices. Reports indicate that one auction for a signed copy exceeded 1,000 euros. While the cover remains a point of contention, ‘Der Spiegel’ leadership has defended the editorial design.
