ULS Médio Tejo and University of Coimbra strengthen medical training partnership

The Unidade Local de Saúde do Médio Tejo (ULS Médio Tejo) and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (FMUC) have formalized a technical-scientific cooperation protocol to enhance the link between medical education, scientific research, and clinical practice.

The agreement, signed by ULS Médio Tejo President Casimiro Ramos and FMUC Director Professor Carlos Robalo Cordeiro, expands upon existing clinical teaching arrangements. It establishes a framework for hosting final-year medical students within the Médio Tejo health units and facilitates broader collaboration, including internship supervision, joint technical-scientific projects, and the sharing of specialized resources and knowledge.

This partnership aims to consolidate practical training for future physicians and promote professional development through seminars, short courses, and participation in pre- and post-graduate training initiatives.
