Ulsan City launches children garden program and seeks public ideas for 2028 International Garden Expo
Ulsan Metropolitan City announced a three‑day Children’s Garden Experience Class for elementary‑age children, running from August 12 to 14 at the Ulsan Garden Support Center. The program, limited to 90 families selected on a first‑come basis, offers two daily sessions where participants learn about plants and create their own terrarium gardens.
Separately, the city has opened a call for citizen proposals for the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo, scheduled for April‑October 2028 at the Taehwagang National Garden and Samseon‑Yeocheon landfill area. Submissions on exhibition content, tourism, family programming and local business integration are accepted through August 14, with a dedicated online portal. Organisers expect around 13 million domestic and foreign visitors and aim to incorporate public ideas throughout the expo planning process.
