Ulsan Metropolitan City expands local currency benefits and small business support

Ulsan Metropolitan City has announced a series of measures to stimulate local consumption and support small businesses in celebration of the Chuseok holiday and Ulsan Citizens' Day. The city is expanding benefits for its local currency, Ulsan Pay, increasing the cashback rate from 10% to 13% for October and November, while raising the monthly benefit limit from 300,000 won to 500,000 won.

Special incentives will be provided during specific periods. From October 1 to 11, the cashback rate will rise to 15% to commemorate Citizens' Day. Additionally, payments made at traditional markets and designated shops between September 10 and 30 will receive a total cashback of 15%. Low-cost businesses will also receive an extra 5% cashback through the end of the year.

The city is also upgrading the Ulsan Pay mobile application to include features such as a simplified mode, location-based merchant searches, and gift-giving capabilities. To support the local delivery service, Ulsan Pedal, the city will provide 4,000 won per order for delivery fees and waive 2% in brokerage fees for affiliated merchants from October to December. Ulsan Mall will also offer discount coupons to consumers during the Chuseok period.
