Ulster and Munster play to 26-26 draw in United Rugby Championship

Ulster secured a 26-26 draw against Munster at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast, recovering from a commanding 26-5 halftime deficit. Munster dominated the first half with tries from Alex Kendellen, who scored twice, Marnus van der Merwe, and Dan Kelly.

Ulster’s second-half resurgence was led by Jacob Stockdale, who scored twice to mark his 150th appearance for the province. Additional tries from David McCann and a late score by Stuart McCloskey secured the comeback. Despite the result, Ulster head coach Richie Murphy expressed frustration with the team’s performance, stating they are playing matches “like they’re training sessions” and criticizing their lack of discipline and accuracy.

Munster’s Marnus van der Merwe was named player of the match for his physical performance and try. The draw marks Ulster’s second consecutive stalemate in the United Rugby Championship, leaving them still searching for their first win of the campaign.
