Ulta Beauty expands into Saudi Arabia's $8.1 billion beauty market

Saudi Arabia’s beauty and personal care market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by a young, digitally savvy consumer base. Valued at $8.1 billion, the sector is projected to grow by 8 percent in 2025, making it the largest beauty market in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Ulta Beauty is entering the kingdom through a partnership with Alshaya Group. The retailer plans to open its first location at Red Sea Mall in Jeddah later this summer, with a second store following at Riyadh Park. This move follows Ulta’s recent international expansions into the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Industry analysts note that the Saudi market remains resilient despite regional conflicts. Consumers in the kingdom are increasingly seeking science-backed and authentic solutions that focus on both beauty and well-being.
