Ulta Beauty reports sales growth and launches wellness initiative
Ulta Beauty, the largest specialty beauty retailer in the United States, reported strong second-quarter financial results for the period ending August 1. Net sales increased 8.9 percent to $3 billion, surpassing Wall Street estimates. This growth was attributed to increased comparable sales, the acquisition of Space NK, and expansion through new store openings.
Under the leadership of CEO Kecia Steelman, the company is executing its ‘Ulta Beauty Unleashed’ strategy, which focuses on driving the core U.S. business, developing new margin-creating business lines, and realigning the company foundation for growth. A key component of this strategy includes the launch of ‘Wellness by Ulta’ shops-in-shop, which provide expanded assortments and educational resources to integrate personal well-being with beauty retail.
For the full year 2026, Ulta forecasts net sales growth between 6.7 percent and 7.2 percent. The retailer is also conducting early Black Friday promotions, offering discounts of up to 50 percent on various brands including Clinique, Medicube, Tarte, and Morphe.
