Ultra-high performance summer tyres receive industry recognition

New ultra-high performance (UHP) summer tyres are gaining traction in the automotive market. Davanti Tyres has launched the Protoura Sport Evo, a flagship tyre designed for UHP and SUV owners. The product features a silica-enriched compound and is EV+ Ready, meaning it is structurally optimized to handle the weight and torque of electric vehicles. Development for the tyre included testing at European facilities such as Applus IDIADA in Spain, DEKRA, and the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal.

In separate testing results, Bridgestone’s Potenza Sport EVO secured major endorsements. The tyre finished first in a What Car? summer tyre test involving 11 models, where it was noted for its communicative steering and wet braking capabilities. Additionally, the publication evo awarded the Potenza Sport EVO a Recommended award after it placed second overall, noting its exceptional grip and stability on wet asphalt and its ability to set the fastest time on a handling course.
