Ultraman series celebrates 60th anniversary with exhibitions in Yokohama and Osaka

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series, multiple exhibitions are being held across Japan.

The ‘ULTRAMAN EXHIBITION’ opened on September 5 at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. The event features nine distinct zones tracing the franchise's history from ‘Ultra Q’ to the latest works. Highlights include digital displays of series details, dioramas recreating iconic scenes such as the transformation of Ultraman Tiga, and a special video montage on a three-sided screen. The exhibition runs until September 27.

Additionally, the ‘ULTRAMAN Gallery Heisei Climax Exhibition’ is scheduled to take place in Osaka at the Abeno and commercial facility from September 12 to September 27. This specific exhibition focuses on the Heisei era, specifically the series ‘Ultraman Cosmos’, ‘Ultraman Nexus’, ‘Ultraman Max’, and ‘Ultraman Mebius’. The event will include displays of scripts and setting drawings, as well as interactive opportunities such as photo sessions and high-touch events with characters.
