Ultramarathonist Tibi Ușeriu to join anti-communist memorial race

Ultramarathonist Tibi Ușeriu and his brother Alin will be special guests at the Crosul Memoriei, a 5-kilometer race scheduled for September 19 in Mărgău, Cluj County. The event is part of the two-day ‘Apuseni – Serbările Memoriei’ program, which honors the anti-communist resistance in the Apuseni region.

The race route follows the ‘Calea Partizanilor’ and passes through areas where the ‘Teodor Șușman’ anti-communist combat group was active. Organizers stated the race serves as an homage to the physical resistance and movement of those who fought for freedom. The event includes a memorial service and presentations regarding the history of the Șușman family.
