UltrAslan leader Sebahattin Şirin placed under house arrest

Sebahattin (Muzaffer) Şirin, the leader of the Galatasaray fan group UltrAslan, has been released under judicial control, including house arrest and a ban on traveling abroad. Şirin was detained as part of an investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office involving charges such as possession of unlicensed weapons and ammunition, disrupting match order through social media statements, irregular entry into spectator areas, and spreading misleading information to the public.

During his transfer to a health check, Şirin reportedly shouted slogans calling for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan. He defended the statement by claiming it was intended to support a process of national unity and togetherness in Turkey. Following these remarks, several UltrAslan regional branches announced they would continue their activities independently from the main group.

Additionally, a report from the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) revealed significant financial activity involving Şirin and his son, İbrahim Şamil Şirin. The report identified a transaction volume of approximately 51 million TL across their bank accounts, noting a discrepancy between the son's reported income as a driver and the total funds processed.
