Uludağ implements new plans for four-season tourism development
New zoning and development plans for Uludağ have officially entered into force following the conclusion of the suspension period. Managed by the Uludağ Area Presidency under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the project aims to transform the region into a high-quality, four-season tourism center that harmonizes with its natural landscape.
Key infrastructure improvements include the establishment of a 4-kilometer safe pedestrian axis separated from vehicle traffic and the implementation of organized parking areas to resolve previous issues with uncontrolled parking and snow removal. The plan also designates specific zones for urban design, cultural facilities for exhibitions and concerts, and thematic areas to promote ecological awareness.
Uludağ Area President Candemir Zoroğlu stated that the works are strictly limited to the jurisdiction of the Area Presidency and do not involve interventions in the National Park area. The development includes reorganizing accommodation facilities, creating 190,000 square meters of open sports areas, and removing structures that pose risks to life and property safety.
