Uludağ to receive 190,000 square meter sports complex

Uludağ Area President Candemir Zoroğlu has announced plans to transform Uludağ into a year-round destination through significant infrastructure and sports investments. Speaking at the 5th Bursa Tourism Summit, Zoroğlu detailed the development of a 190,000-square-meter sports area, which is equivalent to the size of 10 to 15 football pitches.

This new sports zone is intended to support high-altitude training camps for various disciplines, including football, tennis, padel, cycling, and athletics. The goal is to establish the region as a preferred center for athletes and organizations during the summer months.

In addition to the sports facilities, the plan includes a 4-kilometer pedestrian path and various cultural and social facilities for congresses, exhibitions, and gastronomy. To facilitate these social spaces, two hotels that have already been vacated will be demolished. The project aims to manage the national park area sustainably and move away from unplanned development through completed 1/1000 and 1/5000 scale sub-plans.
