Um Jung-hwa returns for ‘Okay Madam 2’ action sequel

South Korean actress Um Jung-hwa is returning for the sequel to her action film, ‘Okay Madam 2’. In this installment, the story shifts from an airplane to a cruise ship setting, where her character, a former secret agent, must face a criminal mastermind played by Sooyoung to save her family during a hijacking event.

To prepare for the demanding physical roles, the 56-year-old Um Jung-hwa has taken up boxing and maintains a strict low-carb, high-fat diet. She expressed a strong desire to continue performing action sequences regardless of age, stating she feels capable of filming action movies for another 20 years. Sooyoung, who plays the antagonist, praised Um’s professionalism and energetic presence on set during the challenging shoot on a real cruise ship.
