UMaine football loses 23-14 to Merrimack

The University of Maine Black Bears suffered a 23-14 defeat against the Merrimack Warriors at Alfond Stadium. Despite the defense forcing three first-half turnovers, the Maine offense failed to capitalize on any of the opportunities, failing to score a single point from possessions starting deep in Merrimack territory.

Maine's offensive struggles continued as the team recorded only 199 total yards, including a meager 53 rushing yards on 31 carries. Quarterback Eddie Buehler completed 12 of 25 passes for 130 yards and threw two interceptions. Coach Jordan Stevens criticized the team's execution, specifically noting consecutive fumbles at the 1-yard line as ‘unacceptable.’
