Umar Kremlev allegedly funded Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding

An investigative report by ProPublica alleges that Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev, an individual closely associated with Vladimir Putin, provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund the wedding of Donald Trump Jr.

The wedding, which took place in May between Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson, included ceremonies in Florida and on private islands in the Bahamas. According to the report, Kremlev—who also serves as the President of the International Boxing Association (IBA)—covered significant expenses, including the rental of private islands, fireworks displays, and event organization. These transactions were reportedly cleared through an IBA-affiliated entity based in Dubai.

A spokesperson for Donald Trump Jr. described Kremlev as a “personal friend,” while Eric Trump stated he did not know him. The guest list for the event included approximately 50 people, such as Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and Eric Trump, though President Donald Trump did not attend.
