The three-day event, held on exclusive private islands, included costs for guest accommodations, fireworks, and logistics, reportedly paid through a Dubai-based firm linked to the International Boxing Association (IBA).

The revelation has sparked political scrutiny in the United States. While Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have launched an investigation, responses from Republicans have been mixed. Senator John Curtis (R-Utah) criticized the decision to accept funding from a Kremlin-linked oligarch, whereas other GOP figures, such as Senator Bernie Moreno, attempted to deflect the controversy by comparing Trump Jr. to Hunter Biden.

National security experts have expressed concern regarding the potential implications of such financial ties.
