Umar Sadiq scores decisive goal in Valencia victory over Elche

Umar Sadiq scored the only goal in Valencia’s 1-0 win against Elche CF on Sunday night, marking a successful return from a two-month injury layoff. Sadiq entered the match as a substitute in the 61st minute, replacing Pablo Maffeo, and found the net just six minutes later.

The victory represents the first win for Valencia since Mexican head coach Javier Aguirre took charge of the club in September. Aguirre expressed his satisfaction with the striker’s performance, stating that Sadiq’s return is “a joy for everyone.”

Following this result, Valencia will prepare for their upcoming La Liga fixture against Real Madrid. Aguirre noted that the team requires no additional motivation to face the top European side and expressed hope for a strong performance.
