UMBAL Burgas offers free consultations for pregnancy loss

The Assisted Reproduction Unit at UMBAL Burgas is organizing free consultations for couples who have experienced pregnancy loss, a condition referred to as infertility. This initiative follows a previous social campaign by the hospital that provided free testing for male fertility factors.

The consultations are designed for couples seeking medical assessment and guidance regarding potential causes and subsequent steps, regardless of whether it was a first or subsequent pregnancy loss. Dr. Alexander Kunev, a specialist in assisted reproduction, will lead the sessions. During the consultations, the specialist will interview both partners to gather detailed information on medical history, previous surgeries, infections, and medications that may impact reproductive health. Additional tests will be scheduled if necessary.

Dr. Kunev emphasized that while pregnancy loss is a difficult experience, it is vital to seek answers to assess the possibilities for a successful future pregnancy, noting that modern medicine offers many treatment options once an accurate diagnosis is made.
