Umbria allocates 5 million euros to strengthen employment services

The Umbria regional government has approved the ‘Rete umbra per il lavoro’ (Umbrian Work Network) initiative, a strategic program allocating 5 million euros to strengthen local employment services. Funded through the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+) 2021-2027 program, the measure aims to facilitate the entry and reentry of unemployed individuals, the jobless, and those receiving social safety nets back into the workforce.

The initiative seeks to create an integrated public-private model by selecting accredited employment agencies to work alongside regional employment centers. This approach is part of a broader reform of labor and training policies, aligning with the ‘Garanzia per l’occupabilità dei lavoratori’ (Gol) program established by the Pnrr.

Regional Councilor for Labor Policies, Francesco De Rebotti, stated that the measure aims to build a modern, inclusive service network capable of meeting the needs of both job seekers and companies looking for qualified personnel.
