Umbria and Termoli implement initiatives for active aging

In Umbria, regional health authorities (Usl) have been recognized nationally for their commitment to active aging. Three regional projects were selected to be presented at the 'Longev_italia 2026' national conference in Asti, one of only 23 experiences chosen from across Italy. These initiatives focus on promoting healthy lifestyles, autonomy, and well-being for the elderly through collaboration between the regional health service, local authorities, and the third sector.

In Termoli, the 'Generazioni in Connessione' project has been launched to foster dialogue between different age groups. This initiative, a collaboration between the municipal administration and the 'Giovani Termolesi' association, connects local social centers for the elderly with younger citizens. The project aims to strengthen the social fabric by facilitating the exchange of skills, values, and experiences between generations.
