Stefano Rausei presents medical memoir in Varese

Surgeon Stefano Rausei will present his book, ‘L’estremo del minimo. Anatomia del buon senso’, at the Feltrinelli bookstore in Varese on October 17. Rausei, who directs General Surgery for ASST Sette Laghi in Cittiglio and Angera, specializes in oncological surgery.

The book weaves together personal memories of his upbringing and medical training with reflections on the patient-physician relationship. It addresses critical issues within the healthcare system, including bureaucracy, medical training, career paths, and the economic evaluation of clinical activities. The narrative also explores themes of dignity, end-of-life care, and the responsibilities of medical leadership.
