Umbria International Airport undergoes capital increase to support growth
The shareholders of S.A.S.E. S.p.A., the management company for the Umbria International “San Francesco d’Assisi” Airport, have unanimously approved a capital increase of approximately 1.92 million euros. This operation will raise the company's share capital from 1.18 million euros to approximately 3.1 million euros.
The recapitalization is driven by the need to meet regulatory requirements set by ENAC following a significant rise in passenger traffic, which exceeded 620,000 travelers in both 2025 and 2026. The increase is also essential to secure co-financing for the 2021-2027 FSC program, which includes approximately 6.8 million euros in planned interventions.
Total investments amounting to roughly 11.8 million euros have already been financed to enhance airport capacity, equipment, and flight infrastructure. The Municipality of Assisi, a 4.83% shareholder, approved its contribution of 92,540.65 euros to the operation, utilizing funds from its 2025 administrative surplus.
