Umbria Jazz 2026 breaks record: 46,000 tickets sold and €3 million revenue

The 2026 edition of Umbria Jazz in Perugia set new milestones, selling more than 46,000 tickets and generating over €3 million in box‑office revenue – a 26% rise on the 2024 record. The festival featured about 500 musicians across 80 bands, offering an average of 28 daily performances. All 29 paid concerts at Teatro Morlacchi and Sala Podiani sold out, while nearly 160 free events filled the historic centre, attracting thousands of visitors.

International artists on the bill included Sting, Zucchero, Gilberto Gil, Snarky Puppy, the Metropole Orkest, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Jason Moran and many others. Organisational support from the city’s Minimetrò, civil‑protection units and shuttle services helped manage crowd flows. Community programmes such as UJ4Kids involved 700 children, and the Berklee Clinics hosted 200 music students, underscoring the festival’s cultural and educational impact. The organization is already looking ahead to Umbria Jazz Winter in Orvieto (30 Dec 2026‑3 Jan 2027) with a fresh lineup.
