Umbria Jazz 2026 teams with cooperatives and Gesenu for sustainability

The 2026 edition of Umbria Jazz, running from 3 to 12 July in Perugia, has added two major partnerships. Confcooperative Umbria will run a program of tastings, talks, cooking shows and panels that highlights the region’s cooperative agro‑food sector, featuring certified DOCG, DOC, DOP, IGP and organic products from members such as Cantina Tudernum, Bovinitaly and Naturalmiele. President Carlo Di Somma said the partnership “means more than a simple presence – it lets us tell the story of our cooperatives to a worldwide audience.”

The municipal service Gesenu has renewed its agreement with the festival to promote environmental sustainability. Initiatives include a “Recycle is Jazz” installation built from reused materials, an Instagram‑led recycling campaign, and intensified street‑cleaning and waste‑collection services throughout the event. Gesenu aims to showcase circular‑economy practices while keeping public spaces clean for residents and thousands of visitors.
