Umbria Approves €88 million Regional Plan for Non‑Autosufficient Persons

The Umbria regional government has presented and approved the Integrated Plan for Non‑Autosufficiency (Prina) 2025‑2027. The plan, endorsed by the regional cabinet on 20 July and by the third council commission on 27 July, will be examined by the Legislative Assembly on 30 July.

Prina allocates €55.9 million in state funding – €11 million more than the previous period – and the region will add roughly €33 million of its own resources for 2026‑2028, bringing total financing to over €88 million. The programme implements the national non‑autosufficiency plan and the reforms of legislative decrees n. 29/2024 and n. 62/2024, targeting people with disabilities and elderly individuals who are not self‑sufficient. Regional President Stefania Proietti said the doubled resources will ensure uninterrupted services and strengthen support for independent living.
