Umbria launches autumn tourism advertising campaign
The Umbria Region has launched a new television advertising campaign to promote autumn tourism. The campaign, which debuted on national networks including Rai, Mediaset, and La7, aims to encourage year-round travel and reduce seasonal tourism fluctuations by highlighting the region's autumn offerings.
The promotional materials feature a recurring comedic format involving an office worker who disappears to explore the region. This autumn edition emphasizes local specialties such as truffles, red wine, villages, and forests. The campaign includes two 30-second spots, five 15-second clips focused on specific areas—Trasimeno, Valnerina, Parco del Monte Cucco, Orvietano, and Media Valle del Tevere—and a one-minute cinematic version.
Regional Tourism Councilor Simona Meloni stated that the initiative seeks to showcase Umbria’s ability to surprise visitors in every season, specifically highlighting its landscapes, cultural heritage, and high-quality local products. Additionally, a visual project linked to photography by Steve McCurry will be featured in print and cinema, with images scheduled for exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia starting October 29.
