Umbria launches new Civil Protection volunteer training courses

The Umbria Region is launching three new basic training courses for Civil Protection volunteers starting in September. These free courses are designed for citizens wishing to join the regional volunteer system and acquire the necessary skills to participate in emergency activities.

Promoted by volunteer organizations in coordination with the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service of the Umbria Region, the training serves as an essential requirement for operating in rescue and population assistance roles. The curriculum includes the organization and functioning of the Civil Protection system, risk scenarios, radio usage, cartography, and first aid basics. Additionally, the courses will focus on promoting a culture of civil protection and safety behaviors to be adopted before, during, and after emergency events.
