Umbrian and Lombard delegations to visit Brussels for EU dialogue
A delegation representing 24 municipalities, provinces, and local autonomy bodies from Umbria, accompanied by a group of approximately ten municipalities from Lombardy, will travel to Brussels from November 9 to 12. The mission, titled “I Comuni umbri e lombardi in dialogo con l’Europa,” aims to strengthen the presence of these Italian territories in European Union decision-making processes and to better access EU opportunities.
The institutional mission is organized by Anci Umbria, Cal Umbria, and Aiccre Umbria, with support from the Umbria and Lombardy regions. The initiative was presented during a press conference in Perugia, featuring contributions from regional leaders including Federico Gori, president of Anci Umbria, and Erigo Pecci, president of Cal Umbria. The goal is to foster a more direct relationship between local territories and European institutions to ensure a Europe that is closer to its communities.
