Ume raises R$ 500M in FIDCs to expand AI-driven credit
Fintech Ume has raised R$ 500 million through Receivables Investment Funds (FIDCs) to expand credit availability for its clients. The company provides outsourced infrastructure for businesses to offer credit to consumers, utilizing artificial intelligence for credit analysis and risk assessment.
Demand for the investment reportedly exceeded the offered volume. Participating institutions include Itaú, Bradesco, XP (Augme), Milenio, Verdee, and Credit Saison. The FIDCs are structured and managed by Milenio Capital. Ume aims to allow retailers and marketplaces to integrate financing directly into the customer journey without building their own financial operations. The company estimates that the new capital could help partners generate over R$ 1 billion in additional revenue.
