Uminonakamichi Seaside Park green Kochia plants reach peak viewing
The green Kochia plants at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City, have reached their peak viewing season. Approximately 1,250 plants are currently displayed in the Rainbow Flowerbed, covering an area of about 820 square meters.
The plants are characterized by their round, fluffy green appearance. This green phase is expected to last until early September, after which they will begin to change color in mid-September, eventually turning bright red by early to late October.
To complement the seasonal display, the PlayCafe located within the park is selling matcha-flavored shaved ice designed to resemble the appearance of the Kochia plants. The dessert is priced at 500 yen (including tax).
