Ummardam Vishnoi Arrested for Posing as IAS Officer and Sexually Exploiting Minor Girls in Rajasthan

Police in Rajasthan apprehended Ummardam Vishnoi, who had masqueraded as an IAS and RAS officer to lure teenage girls preparing for competitive exams. He promised government jobs, higher exam scores and even a career as an air hostess, then kept the victims captive for two years, subjecting them to repeated sexual assault. The investigation uncovered forged IAS/RAS identification documents, official seals, and a red‑striped car linked to the suspect. Victims reported that Vishnoi used makeup and a polished appearance to appear authoritative, and he also exploited the younger sister of one victim by promising her an air‑hostess role before assaulting her. Authorities indicate that more victims may emerge as the probe continues.

The suspect was taken from a library in Ratanada and presented before a court, where he is being held on police remand until July 30. His residence was searched, yielding further incriminating materials. The case highlights the vulnerability of students seeking government positions and the tactics used by impostors to prey on minors.
