UMNO Boosts Party Organization Ahead of Malaysia's 16th General Election
UMNO leaders in Putrajaya and Bukit Bintang called for stronger party structures as the country prepares for the 16th General Election (PRU‑16). Datuk Seri Dr Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, UMNO Putrajaya chairman, urged all levels of the party to reinforce branches, keep cadres ready and address community concerns such as rising living costs. He emphasized continuous outreach beyond election cycles, especially to young voters.
In Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Tengku Azman Tengku Zainol Abidin, head of UMNO Bukit Bintang, highlighted the party's focus on urban Malay communities, noting that the branch has contacted about 15,000 overseas voters and is working with the city council and GiatMARA to provide skills training for youth. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to delivering stable governance and winning back parliamentary seats for Barisan Nasional.
