UMNO dismisses speculation on Pakatan Harapan joining Negeri Sembilan government

Lenggeng assemblyman Asna Amin said there has been no discussion about Pakatan Harapan (PH) being included in the Negeri Sembilan state executive council. He emphasized that the appointment of Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim was made by the Yang Dipertuan Besar under the state’s customs and that external interference claims were unfounded.

In Penang, UMNO chief Reezal Merican stated that relations with the Democratic Action Party (DAP) remain cordial, but recent election outcomes in Johor and Negeri Sembilan could influence inter‑party dynamics. He noted that the Barisan Nasional‑Perikatan Nasional (BN‑PN) alliance that won those state polls may affect future cooperation, while reaffirming that UMNO’s ties with DAP are not hostile.
