UMNO leaders emphasize continuous community service and political responsibility

Leaders of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in Malaysia are emphasizing a commitment to continuous community service and the responsibilities of political leadership.

In Pendang, Datuk Suraya Yaacob led a series of visits to local residents, including those mourning recent losses, to demonstrate that party service should not be seasonal or limited to election periods. She stated that her goal is to listen to the needs of the people regardless of her official status.

In Simpang Renggam, Johor Menteri Besar and UMNO Johor Chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi addressed the Simpang Renggam Division UMNO Delegate Meeting. He reminded party members and leadership that political positions are temporary and power is a trust. He urged the party to return to its original principles of defending religion, race, and country while prioritizing the interests of the people over personal gain.
