UMSNH recognizes research and biosafety ethics committees

The Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) held a ceremony to recognize members of its Ethics Committees in Research, Investigation, and Biosafety. Representing Rector Yarabí Ávila González, Scientific Research Coordinator Jaime Espino Valencia noted that the university is a pioneer among public institutions for implementing regulations regarding these committees.

The recognition marks two years of work by the committees. Officials emphasized that the institution aims to ensure that scientific research is impactful while protecting people, the environment, and living beings. Homero Reyes de la Cruz, General Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies, highlighted the moral commitment required for institutional excellence and the importance of the tools provided to the scientific community.
