UN Rapporteur Francesca Albanese Blames US of Complicity Over Netanyahu ICC Warrant

Francesca Albanese, the United Nations special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory, said the United States is complicit in protecting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu despite an International Criminal Court arrest warrant. She argued that allowing Netanyahu to travel through U.S. airspace and to the White House undermines the international criminal law framework.

Addressing the Second Jewish Anti‑Zionist Congress in Dublin, Albanese described the Gaza conflict as a genocide and called for a full arms embargo, international boycotts and the suspension of diplomatic and economic ties with Israel. She emphasized that the violence reflects a broader global system that normalizes Palestinian dispossession and urged worldwide resistance to what she called an ideology of Zionism that reaches “hardly a corner of the world.”
