UN roundtable examines peacebuilding pathways in Bosnia and Herzegovina

A United Nations roundtable discussion in New York highlighted shared priorities among citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina, despite ongoing political divisions regarding the state's constitutional structure. Research from the CONSENT BiH project, presented by Josip Glaurdic of the University of Luxembourg, indicates that citizens prioritize peace, stability, equal rights, and economic prosperity.

An independent judiciary was identified as the most critical institutional demand across all demographic groups. The findings suggest that while high-level political consensus remains difficult to achieve, cross-community cooperation is functioning effectively in practical sectors such as the Armed Forces, private business, academia, and civil society.
